East Africa is a world rich in sights, sounds, colors, and people. From the powerful beauty of the Serengeti to the traditional simplicity of a Maasai village to the peak of Africa’s highest mountain, your Kilirock Africa Adventures  trip will reveal the many layers of this exceptional land.
Kilirock  Africa Adventures trip leaders and guides are experts in wildlife and regional flora, mountain trekking, and local cultures. They will immerse you in East Africa while going the extra distance to make your trip special with extras like a glass of South African wine at sunset and fresh-baked bread with your meals.
We work with lodges, hotels, and camps that maintain the highest standards of comfort and environmental awareness. To keep your experience unique, we work primarily with independently-owned lodges. We also have our own semi-luxury tented camps that offer an authentic safari experience with zero environmental impact.
Our commitment to training our staff in all the elements of your trip that make it enjoyable means that your guides are thoroughly prepared to make your trip unforgettable.

Authenticity
We grew up with this land, these mountains, and these magnificent animals all around us and we are happy to show you our country as it really is. With us, no fake Maasai nor mainstream safari; each experience is unique and different in its own way.
Kilirock Africa Adventures is Tanzanian owned and operated, and authenticity is everywhere. You won’t just see wildlife; you’ll go off the beaten track and learn how to track it and identify it yourself, seeing piece by piece how the ecosystem fits together. You won’t just watch the Maasai going about their daily life; you’ll learn how to make their traditional weapons and food and discover firsthand what it’s like to be part of their traditional culture today. Kilirock Africa Adventures has an exclusive partnership with a Maasai village that allows us to offer a completely authentic experience to our guests.
‘Come live our world’  isn’t just our motto; it’s our promise to you.

Safety
Your safety is of the greatest importance to us, and we follow an exacting safety protocol on our safaris and on Kilimanjaro.
For your Kilimanjaro climb, we have oxygen tanks and Gamow hyperbaric bags, the best safety equipment for altitude sickness. Your guides will pace your trek for maximum acclimatization and likelihood of reaching the summit, something that over 95% of East African Voyage clients achieve. Our trip leaders are certified Wilderness First Responders, and our directors are regional leaders in maintaining and improving safety protocols on the mountain.
Our guides are all trained in first aid and our cars are equipped with a first aid kit in case of any unforeseen emergencies. We ensure that your trip leader is aware of any allergies or other medical conditions you may have and is prepared to assist you should you need it.

Ethical Tourism
Our staff and the rich local environment are what make your East Africa journey special. We are committed to providing you with exciting opportunities during your trip while enriching lives and protecting habitats in Africa.
Our guides, porters, and drivers are all paid a fair wage and equipped with appropriate equipment for their work, practices that are sadly not widespread in the region. All of our safaris and camps are designed to have the least possible impact on the natural environment. And we engage with local communities through our support of community development projects, such as the construction of the Laiboni School in our partner Maasai community.
